How often have you read something on a company's blog that is not trying to sell you something? Something that isn't there because anyone would make money from it, and something that is not even posted to get Google to list it higher in the search engines? Well, this is important, and with permission from the bosses [thank you gentlemen] I wanted to do just that. I wanted to talk to you about something that is important to me - and something that I think is hugely important to you too. Net Neutrality.

In a nutshell, Net Neutrality is about stopping internet service providers from giving preferential treatment to companies that pay them to be featured. There are two sets of problems with this.

a) smaller companies are now faced with higher barriers to entry in the marketplace - which means that the companies which can afford to be "premium" will be able to squash them, and
b) this is gateway legislation to a corporation-driven Orwellian hellish internet (where you can only access what is on the menu of each internet service provider.

Please have a look at the following links, and I know you will support it too.

Thank you for supporting Net Neutrality.

1. Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) on YouTube. Funny and informative - came around before the first round of discussions on this.
2. Moz://a's own dedicated page with plenty of useful material and what to do.
